Gisele Bundchen has once again been named the world richest supermodel by Forbes. And shes the richest by a long way.
In the year to May 1 2012, she earned an impressive $45 million (£29 million) thanks to her many endorsement deals, campaigns and liscensing agreements. The 31-year-old mother-of-one is the face of brands including Pantene, Esprit, and Versace, and takes a cut on profits from Ipanema flip-flops and other products bearing her name. She also designs lingerie and has just launched a model search through the slums of South America.
At a distant second place is Kate Moss, who earned herself $9.2 million (£5.9 million) last year. Britains most famous super is the face of Longchamp, Mango, Rimmel, and Vogue Eyewear. And the 38-year-old still regularly appears in big ad campaigns and in the fashion pages of the international glossies.
UK-based Natalia Vodianova is in third place with $8.6 million (£5.5 million) earned last year in campaigns for Calvin Klein and Geurlain, and in designing lingerie for French department store Etam and shoes for Centro.
Half of the ten are Victorias Secret Angels: Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr and Candice Swanepoel. Proving that those wings are big business.
Face of Calvin Klein Lara Stone and Carolyn Murphy, who fronts campaigns for Estee Lauder, make up the ten, whose combined earnings last year was just shy of $100 million (£64.3 million).More
