Anna Dello Russo has designed a line of accessories for the high-street retailer inspired by her own over-the-top taste for adornment.
The woman who led a generation of street-style fans to consider cherries, watermelons and ostrich eggs as viable headwear options has created a range of sunglasses, shoes and jewellery fit for the outré Italian dresser in all of us.
I wanted to create precious accessories that are impossible to find, Dello Russo said. As a stylist I know accessorization is essential: it is the personal touch to any outfit. With these pieces everybody can have fun, turning an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day.
Your fantastic fashion day can start on 4 October, when the predominantly gold- and turquoise-toned collection will be launched into 140 H&M stores and online.
Who knows which fashion stars might follow ADRs lead? We can only fantasise about the designs the likes of which Carine Roitfeld (tight, black, sexysexysexy), Kate Lanphear (slashed, androgynous, cooler than most of us) or Taylor Tomasi Hill (texture, lightness, red hair for all!) might create.
