Beyonce to star in 'Glee' Movie

Apparently the idea for the film came about when Paltrow, Witherspoon and Diaz dined with Murphy at Soho House in New York to discuss working on a project together. As yet there is no script but the three A-listers are set to star as, you guessed it, nineties one hit wonders each trying to resurrect their careers, with Gwyneth Paltrow also turning her hand to producing for the first time. There is, however, still mystery surrounding Beyonce’s part, after all could she really pass as a one hit wonder?

This isn’t the first time each of the stars have warmed up their vocal chords for a film. Gwyneth Paltrow recently played a singer in Country Strong (she also played the part of substitute teacher Holly Holliday in Glee). Reese Witherspoon played country singer June Carter in Walk the Line. Beyonce starred as soul singer Deena Jones in Dream Girls and well, who can forget Cameron Diaz’s karaoke scene in My Best Friend’s Wedding?
