The trailer promises all the outré personalities and dramatic declarations of self-hood weve come to expect from the reality fashion format (to wit: Im Indashio, and I have a cape, and this is who I am!). It also answers plenty of questions about TVs latest fashion competition.
Starting with, how does the show differ from Project Runway? First off, theres the format. Each episode pits four designers against each other for a first-cut challenge elimination round that narrows the field to two contenders. These competitors must then create a full collection inyou guessed itjust 24 hours.
The designers work alongside a team of opinionated sewing experts. At the end of the 24-hour period, competitors show their collections to a judging panel that includes designer Cynthia Rowley, fashion writer Derek Blasberg, publicist James LaForce and Chung.
The best part? As far as were concerned, its the fashion. Chung wears her favourite white-collared Carven dress in the series opening, but in the scenes with the contestants, shes flying the flag for British fashion in two Christopher Kane numbers.
Add in a halo plait, catty judging panel comments and trunkloads of snakes (yes, SNAKES), and this is starting to look like a show well just have to watch.More
