The polka-dotted chiffon dress was acquired by the Fundacion Museo de la Moda, a Chilean fashion museum, at a Kerry Taylor Auctions event.
Designer Disaya, a 2006 Central Saint Martins graduate, donated the dress to the auction house in early November to benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Mitch Winehouse, the late singers father, said the funds raised in the auction would be directed to aiding vulnerable youth as soon as possible.
I cant put into words how grateful I am to Kerry and Disaya for their support and hard work, Winehouse said. We are just over the moon, and this is a wonderful start to the foundation. We are off to visit a homeless charity in Euston tomorrow and so the money will go to a good cause straight away.
