Pale and interesting seemed to be the style brief at the 65 annual Primetime Emmys, with pastel and blush shades adding a note of late summer whimsy to what was, in essence, a rather quietly classic red carpet.
Marchesa, Armani and J. Mendel were the big designer winners, while Brit talent was represented too: see Amanda Peet in Erdem, Aubrey Plaza in Marios Schwab (and Rupert Sanderson pumps) and Julianne Hough in Jenny Packham.
Name to know? Romona Keveza. An NYC designer traditionally known for bridalwear, she dressed two of the biggest stars of the night: Anna Gunn and Carrie Underwood.
