New Florence track alert!
The wait for fresh music from Florence and the Machine isnt entirely over, but theres an end in sight...

Finally: Florence and the Machine announced on Monday that its sophomore album will drop on November 7. The band heralded the arrival of its much-anticipated record by releasing a preview track.
The taster video offers fans a behind-the-scenes peek of Florence Welch and her band recording the new album at Londons Abbey Road Studios. The video packs all the witchy vocals and diaphanous gowns we could have hoped for into five and a half minutes, with a choir and one jaunty fedora thrown in.
Called "What The Water Gave Me", the song draws its title from a Frida Kahlo painting and references Virginia Woolf in its lyrics.
It's a song for the water, because in music and art what I'm really interested in are the things that are overwhelming, Welch said.
'The ocean seems to me to be natures great overwhelmer. When I was writing this song I was thinking a lot about all those people whove lost their lives in vain attempts to save their loved ones from drowning. Its about water in all forms and all bodies.'
Glad to see that global fame and a custom Gucci stage wardrobe haven't altered Welch's trademark melancholy. Check it out...
