Bypassing for a moment the Duchess of Cambridge style debate (is she an icon? or just a tasteful dresser?), we are patriotically obliged to report that the royal formerly known as Kate Middleton has made it onto Vanity Fairs International Best-Dressed List.
The jury behind the list lauded Middletons canny high-low fashion choices. Middleton first appeared on the best-dressed list of all best-dressed lists in 2008.
Other royals who made the cut include Princess Charlene of Monaco, Princess Alexandra of Greece and Her Highness Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser of Quatar (crazy, isnt it, how monarchs with ample resources and time, not to mention the worlds designers at their feet, manage to look so good?).
Turning to Hollywood, VF honours Britains own Carey Mulligan and Tilda Swinton. Andrea Dellal, Jenson Button and Colin Firth also represent for the UK.
