As if it was possible to be any more charmed by Benedict Cumberbatch, his latest comedic cameo sees him interacting with Sesame Street puppets, and has us (shamelessly) grinning from ear to ear. Seriously, we can’t stop.

The actor may be used to playing more serious roles – Sherlock Holmes, and Julian Assange in The Fifth Estate to name a couple - but this hasn’t stopped the actor from embracing light-hearted alternatives.

The two-minute YouTube clip parodies Sherlock, and sees him interacting with children’s Sesame Street characters Count Von Count and Murray Monster (re-imagined as Murray-arty, a play on the name of Sherlock villain, Moriarty).

Benedict's detective skills are tested through counting fruit, and - as usual - we're won over by his regular charming self.
