As Romeo Beckham follows mum Victoria into fashion, so Brooklyn Beckham is following dad David into football.

The Beckhams’ eldest son had a trial for English Premier League club Chelsea earlier this week, training in the freezing temperatures at its ground in Cobham, Surrey. Some reports indicate that he has already signed for the club.

Proud dad David was in attendance, and pictures soon circulated on Twitter of him standing on the sidelines – prompting mistaken speculation it was he, not his son, who was about to sign on the dotted line. He is famously without a home club at the moment, having left LA Galaxy a few weeks ago to return with his family to the UK.

Brooklyn played for the Galaxy youth team while the family were in LA, and he and Becks were often pictured training together.

Despite their ages, the Beckhams’ four children are already showing promise in various fields. Baby Harper is already a fashion sensation thanks to her and Victoria’s matching outfits – not to mention her scene-stealing attendance at her mum’s fashion week shows – and Romeo, of course, made global headlines in December when he was unveiled as one of Burberry’s new campaign faces.
