Andrea Riseborough and Olivia Colman triumphed at the 15th Moët British Independent Film Awards last night.
Picking up Best Actress at the lavish ceremony in London, Riseborough looked stunning in a daring black Armani dress as she collected her award for Shadow Dancer.
Taking to the stage in a plunging neckline, she gamely fielded good-natured giggles from the audience and said the dress seemed like a good idea at six oclock still a good idea from where we were sitting: this winner was the talk of the night.
A crowd of industry heavyweights gathered for the glamorous reception and three course dinner and spent the night sipping from seemingly endless magnums of Moët champagne.
Winners included Best Supporting Actress Olivia Colman (Hyde Park On Hudson) and Most Promising Newcomer James Floyd (My Brother The Devil).
Meanwhile Alice Lowe and Steve Oram picked up an award for the hilarious black comedy Sightseers. Edgy horror Berberian Sound Studio snapped up four trophies, including Best Actor for Toby Jones, while Jude Law accepted the Variety award for his career to date.
It wasnt just the winners who wowed: host James Nesbitt got the audience laughing from the start and a series of celebrity presenters took to the stage including Idris Elba, Felicity Jones, Alicia Vikander and Jack OConnell. The Skins actor was paired with rising star and face of Burberry Gabriella Wilde.
Elle Fanning brought a touch of Hollywood glamour, wearing a delicate gown (and still at only 14 years old!).
Oh and actor Tom Hiddleston was there wearing Giorgio Armani, confirming the many reasons why he is ELLE's Man of the Week.
Belvedere cocktails helped the buzzing after-party go with a swing, ending an amazing night for British film talent. Let awards season begin!
