While adapted screenplays don't leave much to the imagination, the Fifty Shades Freed trailers have been keeping us on our toes–the latest one teasing Ana's pregnancy at the tail-end. This sexy franchise knows how to tease its viewers, and the first trailer, which opens with Anastasia putting on her wedding gown for what promises to be the start of the steamy third movie, still has all the stunning details of Ana's wedding look on our minds. As the couple recites their vows, Anastasia appears in a dreamy, all-lace dress, a crystal hair brooch and a delicate tulle veil. On September 10th, in tandem with the first trailer, we were even given a full-length image of Ana's gorgeous gown from the back, which revealed an illusion back, a trail of covered buttons and a relaxed fit-and-flare silhouette.

We wanted details–and after three trailers and much speculation, we have the intel on the gown that's sure to be at the top of many a bride's list after the movie hits theaters on February 9, 2018–just in time for Valentine's Day.

It was announced (as we had suspected) that bridal and eveningwear maven Monique Lhuillier, who crafted Anastasia's sultry gold number and feathered cape for the masquerade scene in Fifty Shades Darker, was tasked with designing Dakota Johnson's character's wedding dress for Freed by costume designer Shay Cunliffe.

The designer, best known for romantic bridal that tows the line between traditional and trendsetting, seemed an obvious choice. Lhuillier, who revealed that she was behind the gown's design this morning on her Instagram, has dressed Reese Witherspoon, Lauren Conrad, Savannah Guthrie, Carrie Underwood, Britney Spears and Pink for their wedding days–just to name a few.

Lhuillier's pieces are coveted by celebrity, it-girl and every-girls alike–but what does a bridal designer make for the submissive wife of the most eligible dominant in E.L. James' world? Apparently, something demure, ladylike and delicate–with a hint of edge in sheer elements and an off-the-shoulder neckline.

We turned to Lhuillier for answers to our burning questions about designing the perfect gown for fiction's favorite submissive:

HarpersBAZAAR.com: Tell us about the process of designing Anastasia Steele's wedding gown? Was the concept for the look your own? Or, did the costume designer for the film, Shay Cunliffe, walk you through what she was looking for?

Monique Lhuillier: I was so delighted to be asked to design an iconic wedding dress for Anastasia Steele for the climactic [final] chapter of the Fifty Shades of Grey series. Further building on the success of the look I designed for the masquerade ball in Fifty Shades Darker, it was a wonderful experience to be involved in this production. Universal approached me to design for Anastasia because my aesthetic matched their vision for the gown. We presented them with three sketches and fabrications and Dakota Johnson personally selected her favorite design. Once the wedding gown hits the big screen, I know this design will live on.

HB: What inspired the design for this particular gown?

ML: We wanted to create something timeless and traditional with a modern twist that captured Anastasia's alluring beauty and vulnerability. In keeping with the essence of my brand, the design evokes an enchanting and whimsical, yet sophisticated vision by weaving together sensuous and modern elements.

HB: How does one even begin designing for someone whose most memorable quality is that she's an accidental submissive? Were you looking to make her appear more demure, more powerful, more ladylike, stronger...?

ML: We wanted Ana to feel beautiful and special for a momentous occasion on the big screen. And, I wanted her to look like herself. She is the girl next door, with a very classic and simple fashion sense. Rather than transform her, we embraced her personal style.

HB: Can you tell us more about the construction of the gown?

ML: It is a long sleeve, off-the-shoulder, dégradé Chantilly lace and tulle sheath—with open illusion back and a trail of lace covered buttons. It exudes femininity and sophistication. We paired it with a Cathedral-length tulle veil with appliqués of Chantilly lace, which we knew would add astonishing glamour for Anastasia's grand entrance. The classic, ethereal and effortless silhouette of the dress—topped with the elegantly embellished veil—is distinctly Monique Lhuillier, and also felt in-line with her character.

HB: Will the gown be available for real brides to purchase?

ML: Yes! It is called the Grey gown and can be special-ordered through one of our flagship stores.

HB: How did the design process and planning differ from the design of Ana's gown and cape for Fifty Shades Darker?

ML: For Fifty Shades Darker, We were told that the silver gown needed to be easy to take off on screen. And, since Christian buys the gown for Ana in that film, we designed the piece from a man's perspective. It was simple, sensual and the feathered cape added a dramatic effect. The wedding gown was designed for Ana, and from her point of view. There wasn't much direction so we really had to think about how to best capture her character. We wanted it to be romantic, feminine and true to her taste.

HB: How would you describe Anastasia Steele as a bride?

ML: Anastasia is a classic bride; she's romantic with a modern twist. She embraces her femininity by wearing a form-fitting, traditional lace silhouette that is elevated with an open décolletage to highlight her delicate features. The soft yet revealing Chantilly-lace illusion back adds mystery and allure. Elegant yet sensual, the gown embodies Anastasia's persona.

HB: Did you design any other gowns in this movie that we can expect to see?

ML: Yes, we designed gowns for Ana's entire bridal party–for Christian's mother, and for Ana's best friend, Kate, just to name a few...
