Paul McCartney’s latest music video is a stylish black and white tribute to early American rock 'n' roll, featuring (for a split second) the ever delectable Johnny Depp.

Spindly, winter-ravaged trees, fireworks, wrestling men, running men and Paul McCartney all set the scene. And then, four minutes and 17 seconds in, we get a teeny-tiny glimpse of Johnny Depp.

The song, Early Days from McCartney’s 16th solo album NEW, is an achey-breaky blues and the video’s final sequence focuses on a group of jamming musicians, McCartney and Depp included.

Patti Smith also joined the musicians on set, although strictly as an observer.

It’s not the first time Depp has featured in one of the former Beatles’ music videos. Back in 2012 Depp appeared with Natalie Portman in the My Valentine video and last year the Pirates of The Caribbean star joined Kate Moss and Meryl Streep in McCartney’s promo video for Queenie Eye.
