And, apparently, it's all Annie Leibovitz's fault.
In the best piece of celeb gossip we've heard in ages, Page Six reports that Kanye was forced to step in and retouch all his own pics after Leibovitz dropped out - the night before the wedding.
'Let me tell you something about that kiss photo that my girl put up,' he says of the shot above.
'This was pissing my girl off during the honeymoon, she was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much because Annie Leibovitz pulled out right before the wedding.
'I think that she was, like, scared of the idea of celebrity.'
Now, Leibovitz has shot everyone from Queen Elizabeth II to Lady Gaga, but it totally makes sense that she'd be intimidated by the responsibility of recording the union of the two most famous people on the planet.
Totally.
Anyway, you'll be relieved to hear that the four hours the Kardashian-Wests spent on perfecting the lighting on that flower wall also totally paid off - the shot is the most-liked ever on Instagram.
