When Couture and Celine are mentioned in the same sentence your mind automatically races to a Phoebe Philo-related offering.

But yesterday the fashion world was reintroduced to the original Celine, Celine Dion - and it was magical.

I have been having a Celine Dion love affair for the past two decades.

I could belt out Think Twice before I could write my name in cursive, I learnt to play My Heart Will Go On on my recorder before I could read non-colour coded music and I could sing Pour que tu m'aimes encoure in (what I imagined was) fluent French before I had visited my first boulangerie.

Whilst most millennials ashamedly deny Britney Spears was their first HMV purchase, I declare with pride that my very first album was Celine Dion's The Colour of my Love, followed very swiftly by Falling into You

Bey never stood a change, Celine had my heart from the start. For years she been the Quebec Queen but yesterday Celine took a brave step forward and became the Couture Queen.

We are used to seeing your K-Stews, your J-Laws and other over-abbreviated celebs hitting up the Couture circuit but the Vegas songstress was an unexpected, yet joyous sighting.

Stepping out at Dior, Celine looked very much part of the Couture crowd, a far cry from usual showgal get-up of sequins and thigh-highs.

And we can thank the the man by her side at Dior and Giambattista Valli  for the new Celine; super sassy stylist, Law Roach. He's the man responsible for transforming Zendaya from Disney tween to Vuitton's it girl, grafting Ariana Grande (and her legendary impressions) into a household name, and making Ruby Rose, well, even hotter.

A flash in the pan, you say? Never.

Celine's longevity lies not only in her ballad busting skills but her ability to entrust Roach to make her fashion's latest darling.

Honing in on this season's It labels and It pieces, Dion has already been seen stepping out in an acid green Balenciaga dress, more Saint Laurent than a washed-up rock star and fashion's latest label-to-love Off-White. Celine in street wear? Give me, give me, more.

Roach has only been working with Dion for a couple of weeks and we predict the start of big things - we're talking Vetements-boots-on-a-Vegas-stage big.

A new day has come, and I love it.
