The website selling a "Kim Kardashian being robbed" Halloween costume has decided to pull it from sale after causing public outrage.

Just a week after Kim Kardashian West was robbed at gunpoint, California-based company Costumeish created a "Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume Kit," complete with a "$4 million dollar ring", "fake gag," and "2 feet of rope."

The "tasteless" $69.99 outfit didn't name Kim directly (except in the web address), but the description outlined: "She has devoted her life to promoting American decadence, youth, and hedonism but all that flashy living caught up with her one night in Paris when armed men bound her, stole her jewelry and her peace of mind.

"This Halloween have some fun with pop culture and dress just like the Queen of Social media."

But the online retailer announced on Tuesday that it has now removed the costume from sale and apologized, adding on Twitter: "We are sorry if it offended anyone."

This isn't the first time the website has had to remove a costume from its online store — it pulled its Cecil the Lion fancy dress after a similar backlash from the public.

It comes after furious fans condemned the outfit. Commenting on the site, one user wrote: "Can't believe our society has come to this," while another said: "This costume is not only f**king tasteless but completely disrespectful of a very serious situation that not only Kim Kardashian has experienced but countless other women and men."

Another added: "You should be ashamed of yourselves you sick f**ks. Hope you get robbed at gunpoint so you psychopaths know how it feels. Pathetic."

Earlier this month, an armed gang disguised as police officers specifically targeted Kim in a robbery plot in Paris, terrorizing a hotel receptionist and then storming her hotel room.

The masked robbers are believed to have stolen more than $10 million worth of jewelry while she was tied up and locked inside a bathroom.

French law enforcement officials have confirmed that Kim was gagged and her hands were tied behind her back while five suspects looted her hotel room of jewels, credit cards and mobile devices.
