WWD reported earlier today that two designers are reported to have been working with the 46 year-old on outfits for today's events: Lauren and Karl Lagerfeld, the German Creative Director of storied French fashion house Chanel, Roman brand Fendi, as well as his own eponymous label. It means that it is likely Lagerfeld has designed the gown Trump will wear to the formal inaugural ball, which is set to take place this evening.

Despite his association with Chanel, it has been confirmed that Lagerfeld has not designed anything for Melania under the Chanel label, meaning it is more than likely he has designed something under the Karl Lagerfeld label.

It's little surprise that Melania has opted to wear Ralph Lauren for today's initial proceedings - she also wore one of Lauren's designs on election night; a white, wide-leg jumpsuit.
