With over 1.9 million followers on Instagram, it's no surprise DL1961 Premium Denim brand recruited model Sofia Ritchie for its latest its campaign.

For the brand's SS17 #TheUniform shoot, Ritchie – who was rumoured to have dated Justin Bieber last year – joins the likes of fellow digital influencers Jasmine Sanders and model Nathaniel Dam to showcase a mix modern utilitarian and off-duty denim looks, giving us the perfect excuse to wear denim every season this year.

Photographed by Ryan Kibler in the streets of New York's Chinatown and the city's famous dim sum restaurant Nom Wah Tea Parlor, the 18-year-old can be seen rocking a various denim pieces including an oversized bomber jacket, high-waisted skirt and frayed jeans with pointed-toe, silver boots.

Matthew Henson, fashion stylist for the shoot and personal stylist for the likes of Kendall Jenner's rumored beau, A$AP Rocky, said: 'We wanted to keep the styling as simple and minimal as possible allowing the jeans to come to life and take center stage.

'At the end of the day, denim is the most core, essential utilitarian piece that everyone wears, so it was important for us to take on a more conversational tone,' DL1961's Creative Director, Sarah Ahmed says in a release about the campaign.

'We are reinterpreting vintage fits and washes but with the feel and performance of new age denim,' she added.

Sofia's campaign shoot comes days after she Snapchatted pictures of her watching the Superbowl with her father, singer Lionel Ritchie, and a week after she was spotted dining out with Formula One race car driver Lewis Hamilton in Beverly Hills.

Over the weekend, her rumoured ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber returned to Instagram six months after he deleted his social media account as a result of abusive and insulting messages he received about Ritchie and their relationship.

At the time, he warned his 78 million followers: 'I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate this is getting out of hand.'

Well, one thing's for sure – we're loving Ritchie right now.

The DL1961 #TheUniform collection is available to buy at Harrods, Harvey Nichols and ASOS, also online at DL1961.
