Katy Perry Turns Gothic Bride In Dramatic Red Veiled Gown At Met Gala 2017

The 32-year-old 'I Kissed A Girl' singer led the 'ladies in red' in one of the 2017 Met Gala's most daring looks.

If the words 'red wedding' sends shivers down your spine after *that* Games of Thrones episode, prepare to see the phrase in a whole new light after a look at Katy Perry's 2017 Met Gala outfit.

For this evening's festivities at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in New York, the 32-year-old event co-chair stepped out in a daring red John Galliano-designed gown, complete with a red silk tulle veil, intricate headpiece and bright red boots.

Posing for the cameras in layers of red tulle and silk chiffon with embellished, oversized sleeves and a veil decorated with what appeared to be a sequined black and white eye on the front, the star's Maison Margiela gown stood out from her contemporaries', as she teamed the look with a glittery red lip and electric blue eye make-up.

Styled by Jamie Mizrahi, the Californian beauty covered her recently cropped, blonde hair in a veil that cascaded behind her as she walked up the event's famous red carpeted stair case to attend the 'Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between' Costume' titled event.

However, it appears Perry wasn't the only one to opt for the romantic hue for tonight's gala, as actress Rose Byrne, co-chair Pharrell William's wife Helen Lasichanh and Joan Smalls were also spotted rocking the bold colour.

Nice work, Katy!
