The Miu Miu Resort 2018 show, which took place in Paris on Sunday night, may have starred Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner and all the usual mega models we have come to expect on the catwalk, but there was one new face everyone was talking about.

Until last Thursday evening, Hanna Sylla worked as a cocktail bar waitress at Paris's Hotel Tremoille.

But a chance meeting with Miu Miu casting director Anita Bitton, who is also in charge of plucking models for the line-up for Mulberry and Marc Jacobs, saw the 22-year-old launched onto the catwalk for the brand's runway presentation.

'When Anita came in to the studio and said she had scouted her waitress that morning at breakfast we all laughed, but the minute Hanna walked in you could tell she's a star,' Katie Grand, the LOVE magazine editor who also styled the Miu Miu show, told the Telegraph.

'Her skin is perfect, amazing bone structure and so elegant.

'Pat McGrath immediately spotted her backstage at the show and said "Oh my god, who is she?" She couldn't believe how beautiful she is and that she'd never modeled before. Miuccia [the Miu Miu designer] loved her too,' she added.

It looks as though the manic and frenetic nature of fashion week backstage may have also provided Sylla with the opportunity to buddy up with the big names, and befriend runway regulars such as Californian beauties Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.

Miu Miu has a track record of elevating modelling careers, with both Arizona Muse and Lindsey Wixson opening the Miu Miu show for their debut seasons on the fashion scene.

Will Sylla follow suit? We reckon she has all the right credentials.
