Five.

That's how many times it takes to rearrange an interview with global supermodel and still reigning catwalk Queen, Naomi Campbell.

But it's not surprising is it, when you consider her schedule of late?

In the past few days alone, the 47-year-old has partied with fellow models Winnie Harlow and Leomie Anderson at Pat McGrath's 'Mothership' Vogue Ball during New York Fashion Week, hopped on a 22-hour flight, and is now chatting to ELLE UK on the phone from her hotel room in Singapore, hours before the launch of her H&M Fall campaign.

Shot in Tokyo, the campaign film sees Campbell strut her stuff down the streets of the Japanese city, sporting a short black pixie crop and dressed in a well-fitted black trouser suit, as she mimes along to her late friend, George Michael's, 1983 hit Wham Rap!.

'I love Tokyo and I was so happy to shoot there and to lip-sync to Wham!,' she says of the clip.

'I grew up with those songs so it took me right back. It was a fun shoot; so easy and comfortable. I love what H&M are doing for Fall.'

Lip-syncing in the campaign with the likes of up-and-coming supermodel Adwoa Aboah ('she's become in a league of her own and I'm very proud of her,' Naomi gushes), the still incredibly in-demand supermodel and her bevvy of H&M beauties sport the brand's new collection, which is teaming with high-waisted trousers, high-neck puffa jackets, oversized knits, and cute-as-a-button pussy-bow polka-dot shirts.

Speaking of the collection's blend of 80s glamour and 90s power dressing , Naomi admits: 'It's a smart move.

'I love their take on the simple suit - it's very chic and easy, but can cover so many bases. I felt relaxed wearing it on the shoot.'

With tailor-made suits from the likes of Azzedine Alaïa, Versace, Dolce and Gabbana, Armani, and Alexander McQueen in her wardrobe, the model says every woman should own at least one power suit next season: 'I've always liked structured clothing so [this campaign] was right up my alley.

'Suits are a staple but it has to be a chilled-out suit. If you don't want to wear the pants with the jacket, you don't have to. Suits command attention,' she says.

And a well-structured suit isn't the only thing with the power to command attention, when you consider Naomi's relentless calling out of the fashion and beauty industry's need to treat women of colour as more than a passing fad.

When it comes to diversity in the industry, the British star praises H&M for being one of the only brands to deliver in terms of its longstanding representation of racially diverse models.

'I was one of the first models to work with H&M back in the 90s and they're one brand which has always been diverse. It's great,' she says.

Kudos to H&M, we say.

H&M's Fall Fashion collection will be available in store and online from 21 September.
