Despite her global success in Luc Besson's sci-fi summer blockbuster Valerian and sell-out collections from the likes of her FW18 FENTY Puma collection and Fenty Beauty launch in recent weeks, countless internet trolls appear to be still hell-bent on discussing Rihanna's weight.

In July, the 29-year-old's fans responded to body shamers who claimed she'd put on 'too much weight' with a series of memes and tweets to defend the songwriter, before the Ri-Ri took matters into her own hands and slammed the haters with the help of one hilarious Gucci Mane meme.

Now, the Barbadian beauty is using the experience of her body shaming to teach young women how they can learn to dress their figures to improve their body confidence, no matter what their size or body type.

'I actually have had the pleasure of a fluctuating body type, where one day I can literally fit into something that is bodycon, and then the next day—the next week—I need something oversized,' she told The Cut at her Fenty University masterclass on Friday. 'I need a little crop here and a high-waist there to hide that part, you know?'

As a result, the Barbados-born singer - who just had a road named after her in her hometown - advises women to dress by taking each day as it comes, rather than stressing that they'll never be able to fit in those bootleg jeans or that fringed crop-top ever again.

'I feel like that's how everyone should go after fashion, because it's an individual thing. And then, if you take it further, it's like: What week are you having? You having a skinny week? You having a fat week? Are we doing arms this week? We doing legs this week? We doing oversized?'

If ever there was a 'what would Rihanna do?' moment, let this be it.

'I love to play with silhouettes as well, but I think it's important to make sure that you wear the thing that works for your body the best, and that's flattering.'

However, it's not just the ladies that the singer is on a mission to advise when it comes to dressing with confidence.

What week are you having? You having a skinny week? You having a fat week?

Her suggestion for men? Wear black.

'It's so sexy and mysterious; confident and secure—all the things I love about a man. So, I'm into that,' she gushed.

But despite boasting over 57.4 million followers on Instagram and being regularly featured on the world's most 'liked' social media pages, the 'Shut Up And Drive' crooner admits she can't stand Instagram being used as a tool to influence fashion trends.

'Instagram is the death of all trends. Once it gets there, it's too late. It's gone. I'm so over it. I can't; I can't deal.'

Note taken, Ri-Ri.
