Paris Jackson's Magical Oscars Party Dress Was Actually A Tribute To Her Late Father, Michael Jackson

The actress left a hint on her social media

Two nights ago the women of Hollywood made the most of the lifted colourful-dress ban at Awards shows.

Stars like Viola Davis and Saoirse Ronan looked pretty in pinks, whilst Gal Gadot and Lupita Nyong'o looked stunning in metallic sequins.

One of the most whimsical dresses, however, had to go to Calvin Klein model Paris Jackson.

The 19 year-old looked unreal at the Vanity Fair afterparty in a metallic and frothy green dress that was encrusted with jewels.

The Versace dress, many noted, bore more than a passing resemblance to Walt Disney's cartoon adaptation of J.M. Barrie's Tinker Bell from Peter Pan.

The actress clearly loved her fairytale dress, and has spent the last two days posting plenty of pictures of herself in it.

However, in the most recent upload of herself on her Instagram the California girl, she made a hint to a deeper meaning of the Tinker Bell-style gown.

Underneath the snap she captioned, 'Take the path that moonbeams make/ If the moon is still awake/ You'll see him wink his eye' which are some of the lyrics to the song 'You Can Fly' from Peter Pan.

It's no secret that Jackson's late father, Michael, was infatuated with the idea of Neverland and Peter Pan's world. The singer called his California home Neverland Ranch and often conflated himself with the boy that never grew up.

Similarly the tattooed yoga-lover reposted fan's pictures of herself on her stories, all echoing the sentiment that she was Tinker Bell for the evening.

What a lovely way to remember her father.
