At eight-months pregnant, the last thing we'd want to be doing is wearing a pair of heels and standing outside in the freezing cold.
But you can trust Kate Middleton to prove she's the queen of decorum during an annual trip to honour the Irish Guards for St. Patrick's Day with her husband, Prince William, over the weekend.
For the occasion, Kate recycled a green Catherine Walker coat (similar here) she wore on a recent trip to Scandinavia, with a Gina Foster hat, black gloves and matching black suede heels. She accessorised the look with drop diamond earrings.
And let's just say, she was glo-wing.
On Saturday, the royals visited the 1st Battalion of the Guards regiment at their barracks in Hounslow, west London, during which Kate struck up a friendship with the troop's mascot, an Irish Wolfhound named Domhnall.
William, who bears the title of Colonel of the Irish Guards, wore a military uniform and enjoyed a pint of Guinness beer while his wife sipped on some sparkling water and handed sprigs of shamrock to officers and warrant officers.
On St Patrick's Day 2013, while in the second trimester of her first pregnancy with her and William's eldest child, Prince George, Kate stepped out in a green Emilia Wickstead fit-and-flare dress coat.
Two years later, while in the third trimester of her pregnancy with their second child, Princess Charlotte, Kate covered her baby bump with a brown Catherine Walker coat.
Kate is due to give birth in April, one month before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle say 'I do'.
