Available from spring next year, the range will include unisex pieces inspired by both the band’s reggae roots and classic Fred Perry style including a shirt, a tartan sweater and a 1950s-style bomber jacket.
Though it will be the first clothing line the band as a whole have worked on, it will be Gwen’s third foray into the fashion world having launched her own line, L.A.M.B. (Love. Angel. Music. Baby. – the name of her first solo album) which shows at New York fashion week, and a cheaper line called Harajuku Lovers which is inspired by the eclectic style of girls from the Harajuku district of Japan.
The partnership is the latest in a long line of special ranges from Fred Perry, who have previously released collections with the late Amy Winehouse and the Olympic cyclist Bradley Wiggins, who released the first of six seasonal collections in July.
