Temporarily stealing the spotlight from all those athletes, a select model crew including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, ELLE cover star Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lily Cole and Georgia May Jagger will put the focus on fashion with a chic closing ceremony catwalk, reported the The Daily Mirror.

As London hands over the torch to Rio de Janeiro for 2016, our own beacons of British beauty will celebrate all that is great about UK fashion as they take to the runway in creations by some of our most revered designers, including Dame Vivienne Westwood, Team GB designer Stella McCartney and Sarah Burton for They'll be backed by Brit pop beats, thanks to a catwalk soundtrack of David Bowie's 'Fashion' and 'Rebel Rebel'.

And instead of their regular '10k a day' fee, these pretty patriots are said to be walking for just £1.

Taking place on Sunday August 21st the multimillion-pound event, titled A Symphony of British Music, will also host a star-studded schedule of performances by local legends such as Annie Lennox, George Michael, Take That, Adele and classical composer Edward Elgar, as well as rumored appearances from Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Elton John.
