The unstoppable teen phenom has signed with talent agency UTA and secured her first film role. She’ll play Chloe, ‘an only child who never received much attention from her parents, forcing her to grow up faster than her peers,’ as the Hollywood Reporter puts it, in director Nicole Holofcener’s latest project.

Although Gevinson’s parents have always struck us as supportive of, if winsomely baffled by their daughter’s success, there’s no doubt she should be able to relate to the ‘grow up faster’ part of the role. After all, how many 16-year-olds have enjoyed a front-row seat at a Dior show, sat next to Anna Wintour, wearied of fashion, started a new publication and built it into a credible web-publishing presence with an estimated million-strong readership? This many: one. Gevinson.

It’s almost enough to intimidate co-stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, James Gandolfini, Catherine Keener and Toni Collette.

Consider our interest piqued. What about you—are you interested to see what Gevinson can do on the big screen?
