Chinti and Parker has been supplying us (and its countless celebrity fans - from Gwyneth Paltrow to Mary Berry) with failsafe wardrobe staples for seven years now - and next week the British brand will introduce a new element for us to covet; shoes.

The three styles – a high-top trainer, standard trainer and slip-on skate-style sneaker – are a result of customer demand for a ‘head-to-toe Chinti’ look says co-founder Anna Singh.

Both she a co-founder Rachael Wood are ‘trainer girls, so it was just a natural and very obvious extension for the brand. For that sort of casual, comfy, slightly effortless look we try to achieve, it felt like it made sense,’ adds Singh.

They start at £85 and don’t go beyond £95, and you can add yourself to the waiting list here.

The brand was perfectly aligned for the current trend for comfortable, ‘athleisure’ wear, but it’s their quirks and Britishness that have set them apart from their contemporaries, like Equipment and 360 Cashmere.

The next 12 months promise further developments that will keep them on top, too.

‘A key area we want to try and build later in the year is the whole design your own sweater, personalise, customise. We’d like to offer it as a full service towards the end of this year,’ says Singh.

We’re already picturing exactly what we want…
