We were delighted to welcome Prabal Gurung into the #ELLEFashionCupboard for a catch-up with Lorraine and to hear about some of his exciting new plans for the Autumn. It's too early to share all his news - although the beauty collaboration with MAC we gather will launch in time for Christmas - but in the meantime, we did managed to grab a fun five minutes with him to answer our quickfire questions...
What item would be in your fantasy fashion cupboard?
A "white tee" that could make me invisible and able to fly.
If you weren't a fashion designer, what would you be?
An astronaut.
What is your number one source of inspiration?
The woman I design for is a constant source of inspiration, her strength, confidence and her grace. I also often draw inspiration from art - recent collections have been inspired by the work of Cecily Brown and Matthew Stone.
The fashion item you most want to buy at the moment is...?
As opposed to a 'fashion item', it would have a to be a painting by Cecily Brown that I would most like to buy at the moment!
What is your motto?
Grace under pressure.
