Do you have a trusted pair of jeans that are wearing a bit thin in the wrong places?  A rip in a denim jacket, that has gone beyond the point of looking cool?  This was just a couple of the ELLE team's own denim dilemmas which we were delighted to hear could easily be resolved by Levi's new in-house Tailor Shop.  After a great session hearing how Levi's can match the thread in your faded jeans, or craftily patch or stitch a rip with coloured thread, we thought we'd ask Levi's expert Scott, who is a font of all knowledge when it comes denim, a few quickfire questions...

What item would be in your fantasy fashion cupboard?
My fantasy fashion cupboard would have the first ever blue jean from 1873, Levi’s® 501® jeans. They are timeless, an absolute classic and the most versatile item of clothing ever. I love to emulate vintage style. It’s the epitome of iconic denim styling and really on trend right now.

If you weren't a tailor, what would you be?
I’ve always been drawn to the arts, so it would definitely be a job in the creative sector. I once created a costume for a stilt performer which was a fantastic project to be a part of and was great fun but I love working at Levi’s® I can’t really imagine doing anything else!

What is your number one source of inspiration?
My inspiration comes from everywhere – I work in the heart of Soho and it’s hard not to be inspired by the way people dress and their sense of style – it’s like a window into their  personality. Jeans are one of the most worn pieces of clothing in the world – in Soho it’s almost like a badge of honour - and the myriad ways people style and reinterpret them never ceases to amaze me.

The fashion item you most want to buy at the moment is...?
I’d love a vintage Casio watch- they are effortless cool and a great accessory for all the denim I wear.
