We caught up with the ever-formidable force, Susie Lau, author of the blog Style Bubble, to chat about her new role as an ambassador for Shopstyle’s Style Inspiration Hub, and get the answers to our #ELLEfashioncupboard questions. The Hub, sponsored by American Express, connects consumers to a uniquely created fashion, trend and lifestyle features to inspire their shopping experience.

Susie told us: 'I wanted to be a Shopstyle ambassador because it was great to create content that was very different from what I do on my own site, as well as incorporating what is the best search engine for shopping (and I have looked at a lot of them). In my first article I talked about the general rules and foundations of my personal style. I’ve never really talked about that before, and Shopstyle gave me an opportunity to reintroduce myself.'

'I was pleasantly surprised about the mixture of voices that the style hub actually has. It’s important not to all talk about the same thing – we each have a very individual take on style. It’s important to encourage that in a shopping community and not just push the trends.'

1) What item would be in your fantasy fashion cupboard?

I would like some really early Comme des Garçons pieces – early 1980s pieces. And I would love those monogrammed flower-shaped heel boots from Louis Vuitton. It’s more the pink heel that I want – a flower-shaped pink heel. Anything from the Christopher Kane archives. Actually, his neon bandage dresses – a whole wardrobe of them.

2) If you weren’t a blogger, what would you be?

I would like to still work in fashion in young enterprise, helping designers or creatives set up their own companies.

3) What’s your biggest source of inspiration?

Google. Travelling. My eyes have opened so much more now I've been to different places. I love learning about different scenes and different pockets that are going on everywhere. I feel like I can’t actually spend all my time in London, otherwise I feel a bit claustrophobic. You don’t want to be too ensconced in one scene.

4) The fashion item you most want to buy now?

Anything from Junya Watanabe.

5) What’s your motto?

Just work. I can’t stand not doing stuff. Just use every bit of time that you have to work hard.
