When jewellery designer Dina Kamal visited ELLE HQ to talk us through her collection, we wanted every piece the designer had to offer. First inspired by the idea of the 'pinky ring' Dina has created a beautiful modern-classic fusion collection. 'I want to give jewellery a new soul,' she says. Dina describes her designs as jewellery that should become part of who you are, a form of identity, not just to be worn on a special occasions. Here is what the impressive entrepreneur had to say for our quick-fire questions.

1) What item would be in your fantasy fashion cupboard?

I already have that: a beautiful 50-year-old kimono made with such love, care and skill that my heart skips a beat every time i look at it.

And my grandmother's cuff bracelet watch. I fell in love with it as a child and she gave it to me as a graduation present.

2) If you weren’t a jewellery designer, what would you be?

I am an architect first and foremost. I would love to research and document architecture and design – explore history, I also love designing jewellery.

3) What’s your biggest source of inspiration?

The detail in everything and everyone.

4) The fashion item you most want to buy now?

Eyeglasses/frames. I love them and love looking for beautiful delicate frames.

5) What’s your motto?

Do what you love and be inspired.
