Luxury London-based eyewear brand Taylor Morris is launching their new highly anticipated collection today, so we spoke to the label's cofounders, friends and designers Hugo Taylor and Charlie Morris, to get to know them a little better.

1. What item would be in your fantasy fashion cupboard?

HT: A Huntsman suit from Savile Row for each day of the week. A selection of Belstaff leather jackets, a truckload of Double RL check shirts and H&M Jeans as they are the best-fitting and best-priced you can find. Oh, and a Rolex Yacht Master II watch  – I have been quietly saving for a while now.

CM: A different Hermès tie for every day of the year, an array of fully bespoke Huntsman's finest tweed for the shooting season. Also a couple pairs of Nike ID Air Max 90s wouldn’t hurt.

2. If you weren’t a fashion designer, what would you be?

HT: I studied History of Art and specialised in English Baroque Architecture. I am immensely passionate about Christopher Wren, Nicholas Hawksmoor and John Vanbrugh. So I guess an architectural historian. I also love to act on stage.

CM: I still currently work in the events industry, designing and managing large warehouse parties. I thouroughly enjoy it. If that failed, I'd be interested in possibly selling coconuts on a tropical beach somewhere.

3. What is your biggest source of inspiration?

HT: I was always told that inspiration is all around you. I try to never shut my eyes to the world around me. We recently shot a campaign in Namibia, where the wildlife, topography and people inspired me in a way I have never experienced. As a child, my mother put great importance on art and architecture. We were always in Florence or Paris or Rome, going from museum to church to gallery. I complained nonstop at the time, but later in life I understood the value. I was usually bribed with the promise of ice cream at the end.

CM: My father has always been my biggest inspiration. From his charm to his charisma and his 'work hard, play hard' ethic. I also loved his style. Some inspiring new eyewear brands that have got my attention are L.G.R, Mykita and Gentle Monster, an incredibly interesting eyewear brand from South Korea that add different types of cotton and tapestry to their glasses – it's truly mind-blowing stuff. We’ve created a rather special pair of sunglasses with a completely flat lens or our new collection called ZERO, which we first got inspired for when first launching the brand. Now, after a few years' worth of collating inspiration, we’ve finally perfected it, and are launching it exclusively in Harvey Nichols, which we’re really excited for.

4. What’s the fashion item you most want to buy now?

HT: Balmain has this stunning dark-blue quilted jacket with really cool silver zips. It's perfect for staying stylish in cold and rainy London over winter.

CM: I’ve had my eye on a camel suede jacket from Ralph Lauren for a while. It’s just a casual two grand though…

5. What’s your motto?

HT: Nelson Mandela once said, 'It’s always impossible until its done,' which I quite like.

CM: If you believe, you can achieve.
