To celebrate Guccis enchanted Flora Garden at this month's RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the talent behind the display green-fingered fashion favourites Rebel Rebel and the award-winning Sarah Eberle - visited the #ELLEFashionCupboard to plant a mini Gucci garden of our very own.
In tribute to the collaboration with this year's event, Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini gave the labels classic Lady Lock bag a floral makeover too. Emblazoned up in the historic house's signature Flora print, the canvas tote also features the classic bamboo handle and comes in small and medium sizes.
After a long morning, (and lots of Team ELLE sneaking into the fashion cupboard to sniff the heady scent of roses and jasmine) this is how the #ELLEFashionCupboard Garden came to life in numbers:
5 years training in floristry
67 combined years of experience
9 Royal Horticultural Society gold medals
5 Chelsea Flower Show gardens designed
1 week to design the #ELLEFashionCupboard garden
7 months to plan the Chelsea Flower Show display
47 species of flowers in the Chelsea Flower Show
2 buckets of rose-scented geraniums for the Cupboard
9 shades of white
2 vans full of bouquets
6 lift trips in the ELLE office
Not enough coffees
2 flower tattoos on the florists assistants arm
5 hours to make the ELLE floral window
10 days to build the Chelsea Flower Show display
Hundreds of hand washes to get rid of green fingers
Now watch it come to life
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show will take place from Tuesday 20th May Saturday 24th May. During this time Gucci invites its customers to experience firsthand the craftsmanship of the Gucci silk artisans in store.
