Charles Anastase
You may not have heard about Charles Anastase yet, but this season he's a name you need to know, because the designer who has been quietly wowing the fashion pack since he opened his label in 2004 is coming to London Fashion Week. The 28 year old Paris based designer has been rolling out his collection for six seasons now, with his first show described as Cindi Lauper meets a 90's rave. His look is part fairytale fantasy, part street style cool as he creates collections for the urban princess. Signature styles include silk prom dresses graffitied with delicate hand draw pictures (check them out on Charles' myspace page) and ruffles- everywhere. As well as every fashion editor from here to the Eiffel Tower fans include women as diverse as Beth Ditto and Yoko Ono. "I imagine the woman who wears my clothes to be like Alice in Wonderland" says Anastase. In the U.K you'll find him at Dover Street Market, North London's Diverse and Browns .
