On Thursday, we broke the exciting news that Cara Delevingne has hooked up with Mulberry. Today, the results of that collaboration were unveiled at a photo call at Mulberry’s ‘Fashion Week home’, the iconic Claridge’s hotel.

The Ballroom was transformed into a romantic vision of the English countryside, with Cara sat on a customised swing, proudly presenting her new three-in-one handbag. Working closely with the Mulberry design team, the model wanted to create a bag that meets our various everyday needs, as well as being an accessory to lust over.

The Mulberry Cara Delevingne Collection offers a versatile bag that can be worn on the back for running between the gym and the office, on the shoulder to meet friends for an after work drink, or carried by hand when taking a stroll around the shops at the weekend.

Cara took her role as collaborator very seriously, visiting the archives, handpicking the leathers and sketching ideas. Her personal imprints are obvious in a small lion rivet and heart shaped patch like Cara’s own tattoos on the interior of the bag. ‘Made in England’ is printed at the bottom of every bag to reflect how patriotism it is an important part of both the model and the brand’s identities.

‘I wanted there to be hidden gems inside, based on things that are personal to me, which my tattoos definitely are,’ says the model.

Available in three sizes, the bag is cool yet elegant, as well as multifunctional. Cara reckons it's so adaptable pinpointing who will buy it is impossible:

‘My Granny will like this bag. She’s 102 years old. My five year old cousin will probably like this bag. He’s a boy.’

We will definitely be getting in line beside Cara’s next of kin.
