Can someone please make a film about Victoria Beckham? Her rise in the fashion ranks alone is a phenomenon, regardless of her pop star backstory and famous family for the first time, all of Team Beckham was present. The boys have never been to a show and I thought it was time that they saw what Mummy did. Mummy works and Daddy works, and I think thats a really positive message, she said.
Since 2008, she has consistently developed as a designer and a businesswoman. Indeed, Beckham barely puts a foot wrong. (I was going to say a stiletto-heeled foot, but she punctured that particular cliché backstage, when she confessed that she had just swapped her velvet slippers for heels: I often wear flats. Living in London, you have to.)
Today was a departure for Beckham. Not a single bodycon dress to be seen; instead, plenty of androgynous tailoring in the mix and flat lace-up shoes. But this went beyond the boy-girl thing shes already been there, done that and the overall effect was serenely feminine, with an edge of something new: cool. Was this Victoria Beckham heading in a new conceptual direction? The more people understand me and the brand, the more I can push it a little bit, she said.

Take those long, soft pleat skirts worn with sharp trousers beneath, or the tunics that hugged the hips over slim, slippery trousers, or the bold abstract print, or the black coat with a gold chain detail. Of the latter, Mytheresas Buying Director, Justin OShea said: That'll definitely be a hit with the Beckham faithfuls.
So what had brought about this new powerfully modern feminine image? Well, there is nothing like the prospect of opening a flagship store to push a designer to pull out all the stops. Beckhams Dover Street store, designed by the female architect Farshid Moussavi, whose portfolio includes the impressive London 2012 Olympic Park, is set to open in the capital this autumn.
Were definitely going to have a party! she said. The question is, what will she wear?
