Kate Barry, the eldest daughter of Jane Birkin, has died.
The 46-year-old photographer was found on the pavement outside her fourth floor flat in Paris yesterday after a reported fall.
The matter is under investigation, but we can confirm the death,' a local police spokesman confirmed to press.
Kate was the only child of Birkin and the late composer John Barry; her stepsisters are Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon. She is survived by a son, Roman de Kermadec.
