Fashion shows are often a spectacle of elaborate sets, but Marc Cain's s/s 2015 show, held during Berlin Fashion Week, didn't stop there. As the audience hushed obediently, ribbon-twirling ballerinas pirouetted down the catwalk, while a burly lumberjack-type with glitter-encusted beard showed off some rather impressive gymnastic skills.

And then, there were the clothes.

Alongside the neat boucle jackets and bold floral prints that are the staples of the Marc Cain woman's wardrobe walked a few, more unexpected, looks. The denim trench was a stand-out piece, as were the pom-pommed sandals and metallic cat-eye sunglasses. Elegant, wearable coats in taupe and cream had us aching for cooler days to wear them on.

The iridescent sandals that stomped down the runway have left us yearning for a pair, but that's not the only lasting impression from the show – we're also sorely tempted to run away and join the circus.
