Locate your funny bone now: the British Fashion Council has this morning announced comedian (aka Mr Lara Stone) David Walliams as the host of this years British Fashion Awards.
And you don't need us to tell you this is going to be good. Walliams and the fashion industry have got form. His wife is, after all, a supermodel - and who could forget Kate Moss once offering to give him a 'gob job' for a packet of Quavers in aid of Comic Relief a few years back? (Oh, you did? Relive it below.)
But while seriousness isn't necessarily a sentiment you'd associate with him, Walliams is actually a fervent supporter of the British fashion industry, having sat on the London Collections: Men committee since its inception in June 2012.
Im thrilled to have been asked to present this years British Fashion Awards, he said this morning. Its a wonderful way to recognise some of Britains best talent and a night not to be missed!

The event, billed as the UK's equivalent of the fashion Oscars, will be held at the Coliseum in London on 2 December - and tickets are on sale now.
