The Kooples is appropriating the dance routine for the launch of its new Time Piece watch collection – and there’s neither a sequin nor an ostrich feather in sight.

In the black-and-white film, which ELLE can exclusively screen for the first time, a The Kooples-clad couple rocks out to The Black Angels’ Black Grease in an abandoned warehouse, the camera panning intermittently onto their wrists as their moves emulate the workings of a clock.

The film was made under the creative direction of the labels’ founding brother Raphael Elicha and brand manager Thomas Hutt – hence the too-cool-for-school overtones.

And as for those watches... The 11-piece Time Piece collection was created in collaboration with Swiss luxury watch-maker John Isaacs and is available to buy now, with prices from £230. Just the thing to put a spring in your step. (Sorry/not sorry.)
