Last night Londons fashion set came together in the name of a good cause. British-born shoe designer Tabitha Simmons a favourite among editors and celebritites was celebrating her collaboration with charitable shoe brand TOMS, for which she had produced 10 limited edition styles.
Simmons co-hosted the event with TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie, whose business pledges to match every pair of TOMS shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes for a child in need.
In a moving speech, Simmons said she was honored to have been invited to work with TOMS and urged everyone in the room to buy a pair to support this worthy cause. Mycoskie had invited the shoe designer to Honduras to experience first hand the charitable work carried out there.
The intimate supper at Londons Marks Club saw guests Edie Campbell, Otis Ferry, Tallulah Harlech, Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum show their support over roast chicken and sticky toffee pudding for Simmons collaboration in which her signature striped ribbon designs had been worked into classic TOMS silhouettes.
The TabiToms collaboration is on sale now at TOMS.co.uk.
