It was only a matter of time before the legacy of was portrayed on the big screen. His glamorous and somewhat complicated life has long been a subject of interest, and now there is not one but two biopics due for release next year.
As the film-makers go head-to-head to depict his life, we are hedging our bets on the only one of the two who has been given the fortunate blessing of Pierre Bergé, long time business and romantic partner of . WY Productions have been granted unprecedented access to the fashion houses extensive archives and, much to our delight will be featuring original garments in the film.
The biopic, which is due to be released early next year, stars French actor Pierre Niney, whos resemblance to the designer is so apparent that reportedly when Bergé met him he almost greeted him with Welcome Yves.
