Seven really is Rihanna’s lucky number.

The Unapologetic star has become the third artist ever to scoop seven number one singles in seven years – an accolade only previously bestowed to the Beatles and Elvis Presley. Ri is the first female star to hold the record.

It tops a year that has seen Rihanna sell out stadiums the world over, turn fashion designer for River Island, and even star on the front of ELLE’s April issue.

Ri beat One Direction to the top spot thanks to her collaboration with Eminem on his new song, The Monster.

It’s not the first time the duo have teamed up. First on the 2010 single, Love The Way You Lie, once more on Ri’s Loud Mouth follow-up, and again on her 2012 single, Numb.
