Marios Schwab for Margiela?

Said to be ghost-designing in Paris

Could one of London’s brightest design talents be lending his creative vision to Maison Martin Margiela?
WWD reported today that Marios Schwab has been spending time in Paris, ghost-designing for the house.

It comes after Margiela’s owner, Renzo Rosso, was spotted at Schwabs s/s 2014 show, along with the brand’s CEO. The label’s founder, the ever-elusive Martin Margiela, relinquished control of the house in 2009.

Intellectual, conceptual, progressive, introspective – these are all words to describe Margiela. Schwab’s collections on the other hand, are more red carpet friendly.

Worn by stars including Bond girl Naomie Harris, Schwab's dresses are a celebration of womanhood, whether referencing a vampy, sequinned femme fatale, a strong warrior princess or a dramatic Gothic heroine.
As yet, Maison Martin Margiela has not confirmed the appointment.
