We could happily while away a morning in the new Roger Vivier boutique, which was unveiled this morning in Selfridges’ iconic shoe hall. Based on the interiors of Mr Vivier’s French apartment, it had all the elements of a near-perfect Tuesday morning; plush velvet armchairs, breakfast canapés (unfortunately the good looking waiters and delicious pastries won’t be a daily occurrence) and beautiful shoes. And oh the shoes. Roger Vivier fans will be delighted to find all his signature styles - from the buckle-top pumps to a range of styles featuring the iconic Virgule (Comma) heel, which is designed to represent an exclamation mark.

Those looking for something a bit of an edge won’t be disappointed either, as the boutique will offer exclusive limited edition pieces aiming to draw in a new, younger customer. Girl-about-town and offspring of Duran Duran’s John Taylor, Atlanta De Cadanet Taylor, has fronted the campaign and put her stamp on a pair of tartan pumps that have just shot to the top our of winter wishlist.
