As fairy tail weddings go has pretty much got it sussed. With her enviable bohemian lifestyle (think legendary summer solstice parties in her Somerset orchard) and a finely tuned eye for fashion and interiors, she is well placed to take the helm of any wedding day plans.

Having entered into the bridal world when she made her own wedding dress in 2002, and for the subsequent stream of friends thereafter, she soon realised there was a demand for her whimsical dresses at the altar. And now with the newly launched bridal boutique, which opened today, she is offering a little slice of that much sought-after lifestyle to her customers.

Situated above her shop, and adjacent to her design studio, it is not just close in proximity to the rest of her fashion empire, but every bit as in line with the Temperley brand as you would expect. Entering through the double wooden doors at the top of the stairs is a bit akin to stepping through the doors of a church, and inside won’t disappoint any blushing bride-to-be. Plush velvet armchairs look like the kind of place you could happily while away an afternoon chatting Chantilly lace and vintage veils, glass of champagne in hand.

And if nothing on the endless rails of ethereal wedding dresses catches your eye, Alice and her team of tailors and pattern cutters (one of whom has been with her since she launched in 2000) are only next door and on hand to offer whatever bespoke creation you may desire. All we need now is someone to pop the question.
