A Wednesday afternoon outing for champagne and shopping at Bicester Village? Don’t mind if we do.

Yesterday afternoon we made our way to London’s Marylebone station where we, along with 30 ELLE Insiders and their discount-hungry friends, boarded a special train carriage and travelled in style to Bicester Village. Two handsome waiters served up Prosecco along the way. Our job is really tough.

Once at the Village we made our way to the British Designer Collective pop-up store – cue more Prosecco – where ELLE’s Fashion Director Anne-Marie Curtis was waiting. She’d had a head start and had already scoured the rails to choose her favourite pieces and she set about explain why she loved them and exactly which ones she was planning on spending her money on (a butter-soft striped JW Anderson sweater made the cut, since you ask).

And then there was the shopping. As well as getting the chance to browse the rails at , , and more, one flash of their ELLE Insider card was enough to earn our loyal followers freebies at Kate Spade, and . Not bad, even if we say so ourselves.
