It might have escaped your attention while the , but the US label has installed an 11.2-square metre pop-up accessories store in Harrods’ Luxury Accessories Room – well worth a visit between now its close on 26 October.

The space stocks a veritable rainbow of the label’s signature Classic Ricky and Soft Ricky bags (named for Ralph Lauren’s wife and muse), which, at £1,750 a pop, are worth a look even if you can’t afford to touch.

For those who are looking to invest, the current bestseller, we hear, is the Soft Ricky in Pink – an apt choice to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Lauren’s own take on it, Pink Pony month.
