Cara’s new film

Model is unrecognisable

She’s been a permanent fixture at fashion week, walking for some of the biggest names in the industry, but work hard, play hard Cara Delevingne has made no secret of her silver screen aspirations.

The model’s latest film role? A starring turn alongside Amber Heard, Jim Sturgess and Billy Bob Thornton in the upcoming film adaptation of Martin Amis’ gritty, murder mystery novel, London Fields.

Full details of Cara’s part have not emerged, but judging by this picture, tweeted by make-up artist Sian Edwards, it’s quite a departure from her more recent, opulent outings for the likes of Valentino. Cameras have already begun to roll for the black comedy, set in Cara’s East London stomping ground.

It’s the latest triumph of Cara’s fledgling movie career. Back in August, ELLE spotted Cara and friends filming scenes for Brit movie Kids In Love at London’s Notting Hill Carnival. The model’s first flirtation with the acting world, though, was a brief outing alongside Keira Knightley in Anna Karenina.

What next, ELLE wonders. Could Cara be setting her sights on Hollywood?
